A local community has selected its next leader. The city of Kettering has hired Matt Greeson as city manager, effective Jan. 1. Greeson succeeds the retiring Mark Schwieterman, who will continue his role through the end of the year. Greeson previously was city manager for city of Worthington, Ohio, since 2007. He brings more than 26 years of local government experience. 'It is City Council's goal to ensure that Kettering's next city manager brings outstanding, proven leadership skills to the position to continue the level of service at which residents and businesses are accustomed,' said Mayor Peggy Lehner.
