KETTERING — The Women's Med Center in Kettering is seeing a surge of patients. Sixty-five pre-op appointments for abortions were made today and yesterday, according to a spokesperson for the center. The number is 'considerable' since the center is currently limiting surgical abortions to 14 weeks next week. Their normal limit was 22 weeks. This all comes just days after a Hamilton County judge granted a 14-day restraining order against the law, temporarily pausing Ohio's abortion ban.>> Heartbeat Bill temporarily blocked in Ohio; ACLU to seek further legal actionMaggie Christie, the executive director of Dayton Right to Life said the pause is frustrating, but not surprising.
